SEX TOY REVIEW: BLACK VELVET BUTT PLUG

I’m a big fan of butt plugs and often give them to my partner’s friends who I know are kinky. Instead of letting my partner Kathy or one of her friends review a butt plug, however, I decided to try it out myself. I have dabbled a little bit in anal play, so I wasn’t a complete newbie to the whole experience.

The Unboxing

My toy of choice was the Black Velvet Butt Plug from You2Toys. It is a small-sized plug with a smooth, velvet finish. This made me feel a lot more comfortable about what was coming next. The plug had a little T-shaped base which stops it from getting lost up there. The purpose and method of any butt plug is simple and straight-forward. So, without wasting time, I took out the water-based lubricant. Because the plug is silicone, no silicone-based lube should be used. This means it won’t work so well in the bath.

The Experience

After I came out of the shower (here the selection of anal douches) and drenched the butt plug in lube, I laid down on the bed and gently inserted the tip. That was surprisingly easy given the smooth point of the plug. The rest was a little more challenging. I eventually manoeuvred the entire plug snuggled into myself. Although it’s a small plug, I could feel it with every movement I made. My partner and I then fooled around for a bit while I twitched every time the butt plug made me too excited. It was at this point that I appreciated having a smaller plug in me. Humping, thrusting and jumping is much more fun when you have something fondling you on the inside. If the plug was bigger foreplay and sex would have been a lot harder.

After about 40 minutes of sex play with my partner, I gently removed the plug, which was more difficult than inserting it. That’s probably because the lube dried up. I cleaned it up with some sex toy cleaner and let it dry. The entire experience seemed more engaging with the butt plug inside me. Possibly because every movement reminded me that the plug was there. Altogether, it was a fantastic experience and I would definitely use the butt plug again. 

What I enjoyed:

• The texture was incredibly soft and smooth.
• It was small and easy to insert.
• It’s very easy to clean.

What I didn’t enjoy:

• You can only use water-based lube with it.
• The flared based can become distracting during foreplay or sex.

Conclusion

If you’re a beginner in anal play, then this butt plug is the best way to start. It’s not too big and has a smooth texture that will slide in easily. If you’re experienced, then you should probably opt for a bigger butt plug. It’s important to always have a large amount of water-based lube on hand and to also read up about anal hygiene before getting started.
